FOR SALE
Stunning 1960 Sunbeam Alpine Series 1 in polar white for sale. (TSU 544) Red with white piping vinyl interior.
California imported in 1989, restored, re - sprayed and converted to right hand drive. The bodywork, and chrome in excellent condition with good door shuts and lines. An original and useable car that drives very well and keeps up with modern traffic. There is some history of work completed on the restoration and invoices from 2014 onwards.
I have owned the car since 2020 and have slowly worked through some improvements including the refurbishment of the steel wheels. It comes with the original hardtop, had a new soft top when I purchased it and the radio has been exchanged to an original reconditioned 1960,s one.
There are still some improvements that can be completed but this is an original 1960's car that has spent the winters in dry storage and the summers out on the road completing many rallies and car shows.

I bought my new lhd Sunbeam Alpine V back in 1968 when I was living in Austria but for most of the time I have driven it in the UK.
In the two years before Covid I started its restoration. This included spending close to £3000 getting the underside of the car professionally derusted/welded and all of the mechanical components overhauled or ungraded.
Since then my health has declined and I am no longer able to complete the bodywork restoration. Worse still my increasing frailty has meant driving the Alpine has become an onerous task rather than the joy it had been for over 50 years.
So now, in the hope that it will live on for many more decades, I am looking to sell it to someone with a real desire to continue the restoration. If you are interested, please contact me by email and I will send you a full description of what has been done and what I had planned to do to complete the restoration.

FOR SALE - 1966 Sunbeam Alpine Series V
The condition of this Sunbeam Alpine is amazing, albeit a slightly older restoration (2010), there is very little patina and it is easy to see why it has come first in a number of concours events.
We contacted the Sunbeam Alpine register and they kindly replied as follows:
“The Alpine you are referring to is well known in the club, as it has won best in show on many occasions in our annual National meeting.
The car was restored by a long time club member, who died a few years ago.
He had a very keen eye on detail and the car is probably as close to the condition that it would have rolled off the production line, as is reasonable to achieve.”
The hood on the car is believed to be an original and has never been lowered, so that the vinyl and plastic rear screen are as new.
LPJ 9D’s four cylinder engine, with five-bearing crankshaft, festures a holbay aluminium cylinder head, fed by twin in Stromberg carburettors, with high lift camshaft and high compression pistons.
The engine was built and specified by the Sunbeam Alpine engine guru Geoff Woolf, and was stripped and refreshed again in 2022 due to a failed water hose at a cost of £3k.
The car comes with lots of photographs, covering engine rebuild, professional photographs of detailing the car, as well as receipts and contact details for Sunbeam Alpine parts and specialists

For Sale: 1963 Sunbeam Alpine Series 3. first registered in June 1963 and originally with registration number 89 KV (I have the original logbook). It was re-registered in 2006 with an age related plate number KGJ655A. 1592cc engine with twin Stromberg CD150 carburettors, a S4 Alpine fully synchro gearbox and overdrive in 3rd and 4th, silver wire wheels, soft top, tonneau cover and white glass fibre Honeybourne hardtop, which is light to handle and turns the car into a snug coupe for winter motoring.
"Jampot" as it is affectionally called by the present owner, was acquired in December 2008. Between 1998 and 2006 a full restoration programme was undertaken by the previous owner which included the body, wings, suspension and brakes system and a Rootes reconditioned 1592cc engine and S4 gearbox and overdrive in 3rd and 4th. Re-sprayed with top class two pack paintwork in Carnival Red. Very original interior with the exception of a new soft top in 2010 and the driver's seat recovered in 2012. Further restoration work was carried out in 2016 with new sills on the driver's side. new repair quarter panels to the wheel arches and the boot lid. In 2023 a new Lockheed servo has been added, the Girling servo having failed, and the braking system has been overhauled and new discs and disc pads to the front and pistons to the rear added. Since acquiring "Jampot" in December 2008 she has undertaken five trips to France and has attended numerous Nationals, car shows and rallies/runs in the UK. The car is registered with the Sunbeam Alpine Owners Club, Registration Number 168. It was judged runner-up at the 2018 Chester National.
I am selling "Jampot" due to health reasons as the time has come when someone else can have more enjoyment with her than I can. She starts and drives very well and is much admired for her bodywork and style.
£16,000 or close offer and sold with a Rootes workshop manual and lots of history, spares and SAOC magazines.

1964 Sunbeam Alpine the car can be restored, but I think this will be a tall order. Personally, I think this car is very interesting as a breakdown car for the pieces.
Definitely the ideal car to convert a right hand drive to a left hand drive car. The engine has been dismantled and gearbox I don't have, otherwise the car is complete.
The sunbeam is being sold at the very democratic price of 1250 euro. the car can be visited in Izegem (Belgium near Bruges) and on simple request
