FOR SALE: Sunbeam Alpine Series V - 1967 ( AVS 580)

The car is a LHD Californian car and is unusual in that it has factory O/D and Wire wheels.

It's very straight forward to convert to RHD if you wish and I can provide the parts in exchange for the LHD ones in the car.

It has rust in the LH rear floor due to water standing but the rest of the car is very solid.

A new rear LH wing has been fitted, presumably due to a previous bump, the boot lid is rust free but has some damage that can be

easily repaired.

Needs new Trim and soft top

The car is a great starting point as all the hard work - sills, doors cruciform etc are perfect.

Asking price: £5500

For Sale: 1968 Sunbeam Alpine SV.

This car is in excellent condition, and has been in my care for more than 26 years, with continuous MOT’s for 33 years.

Red with wire wheels and a black interior, plus soft top and tonneau cover. It has always been stored in a damp free garage, and has no corrosion issues. The engine was fully rebuilt approx. 13,000 miles ago by Holbay to their Rally spec and includes a big valve head and twin Weber carbs. John Roseby re-built the gearbox 8,000 miles ago when the overdrive and clutch were also replaced.

All the suspension, brakes, back axle etc. have been fully overhauled and the wire wheels replaced. The body is in excellent condition having been fully treated with Waxoyl over many years. It was also resprayed four years ago.

The car will be sold freshly serviced and is a joy to drive. Due to the low mileage of all the mechanical components it has been very reliable. It has been taken to France three times and extensively around the UK with no issues. The car will be sold with its history file which includes a large amount of invoices detailing all the work carried out over the years.

For Sale: Barn find restoration project

There can’t be many Alpines left out there that haven’t at some stage of their lives been subject to restoration work. Sometimes this is done in a slipshod manner which causes all sorts of problems for the serious restorer later on. Here we have a car which has been off the road since 1977 hibernating and awaiting restoration.

Her name is Maisy, and she is a Series 4 GT Registration COB 567C . She now has both a V5 and original green log book and also an SAOC club identity. She appears to have her original 1592 cc engine and luckily an all synchromesh gearbox which was fitted to the Series 5 model which soon followed. This car has been fitted with Twin Strombergs but comes also with the original Solex compound carb. She needs a total nut and bolt restoration but does come with some panels which will make life easier. These are :

1. Spare bonnet in much better condition than her original,

2. Spare nearside door which has already been repaired with new bottom skin and frame sections.

3. Spare bootlid in much better condition than her original.

4. New doorsill bottom half sections for both sides.  Lots of other bits included too, too many to mention here.

5. She appears to be a numbers car with all her original components.

All she needs now is a loving owner to restore her to her former glory.

            Offers around £1750 please.

Please contact Eddie Zetlein 039  on 07904 985 271 or Email for more details.
